Intelligence Banner The Intelligence tab is where you control Helply’s model selection for a server. Use this tab to choose how Helply balances speed and answer quality. The settings you choose here affect how Helply responds across your server.

What the Intelligence tab does

Choose a model tier

Select which model tier Helply uses for support responses.

Balance speed and quality

Tune how quickly Helply responds versus how much reasoning power it uses.

Adjust reasoning

Control how much thinking Helply does before answering.

Match your plan

Unlock stronger model tiers on higher plans when your server needs them.

Available model tiers

Helply uses simple model labels in the dashboard instead of raw model names.

Fastest

Fastest is the speed-focused option. This is the default model tier and the only model choice available on the Free plan.Fastest works best for simple questions that are clearly answered by your uploaded context.
Fastest is the lowest-cost model tier and is recommended for most servers.
Smarter gives you a stronger model option for more capable answers. This option is available on the Plus plan and above. It works well for more complex questions that require stronger reasoning or better judgment.
Smarter uses about 5x more Helply credits than Fastest.
Smartest is the highest model tier. This option is available on the Pro plan. It should be reserved for especially demanding support questions that require advanced reasoning. For most servers, this tier is unnecessary and significantly more expensive to run.
Smartest uses about 25x more Helply credits than Fastest.

Reasoning options

Helply also includes reasoning settings, which control how much thinking the model does before answering. Lower reasoning is faster and more lightweight, which makes it a strong fit for simple support questions and high-volume servers. Higher reasoning gives Helply more room to work through harder questions, which can improve answer quality on more complex issues but may use more credits and take longer to respond.

General guidance

  • Use lower reasoning when speed matters most.
  • Use higher reasoning when accuracy and deeper problem-solving matter more.
  • Model tier and reasoning work together, so both settings affect answer quality, cost, and latency.
Higher reasoning levels, such as Medium and especially High, use more Helply credits and can noticeably increase response time.

How to choose the right model

1

Choose Fastest for speed and efficiency

Pick Fastest if you want quick responses and low credit usage. This tier works especially well for repetitive support questions that are directly covered in your uploaded context.
2

Choose Smarter for stronger reasoning

Pick Smarter if you want better answer quality and stronger reasoning for troubleshooting or more layered support questions.
3

Choose Smartest for the hardest questions

Pick Smartest only when your server regularly handles especially difficult support issues, such as advanced coding, logic-heavy troubleshooting, or complex technical questions.

Optimize

Adjust other efficiency and cost-related settings.

Context

Manage the knowledge Helply uses when generating answers.

Usage

Track credit usage, limits, and remaining balance.
